From a young age, Caidy found peace and creativity in hairstyling and braiding. What began as experimenting with unique designs on her own hair quickly grew into creating updos for her sisters and friends attending school dances, crafting ponytail styles for cheerleaders during competitions, and designing intricate braids for football and basketball players for their games.

 

Although she had a deep love for all things hair-related, Caidy initially chose to pursue a career in sports writing. However, during a class one day, when the professor asked her about her true passion, it suddenly clicked – hair was her calling. The very next day, she abandoned her writing aspirations and enrolled in cosmetology school, never looking back.

Excited to embark on this new journey, Caidy eagerly shared her goal of becoming a Styling and Braiding Specialist. Unfortunately, her enthusiasm was met with discouragement, as others doubted her ability to succeed in such a niche field, insisting that no one went to cosmetology school for that purpose. Despite the negative feedback, Caidy remained determined to turn her passion into her purpose. Sixteen years later, she stands proud as an Award-Winning Hair Artist and Industry Educator.
